Vision:

With an eye on the future, a heart for a vibrant community, and recognition of the inter-connectedness of our environment and everything that lives here, CCFS strives to unite all citizens who are committed to long-term stewardship of Chaffee County and the broader Arkansas River Valley.

Mission:

CCFS’s mission is to support existing effective programs and initiate new programs that ensure the long-term viability and well being of our community. CCFS supports the development of long-term sustainable methods as a basis for a vibrant and resilient future. Of primary importance to our community’s future are: conservation and protection of ranch lands, water, and other natural resources, local food production, alternative energies, and affordable housing. CCFS serves its members and the broader public through research, educational practices, and interaction
with community members, agencies, and local governments.
